Terms of Service for Availability Smarts
Effective Date: March 1, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User" or "you") and the developers of the Availability Smarts Google Apps Script project ("the Application"). By installing or utilizing the Application, you signify your assent to these Terms.
1. License and Permitted Use
The Application is provided as a productivity utility within the Google Workspace ecosystem. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, and revocable license to use the Application solely for its intended purpose of managing availability and calendar integration.
2. User Responsibilities
By utilizing Availability Smarts, you agree to the following:
Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Google Account credentials.
Compliance: You must comply with all applicable laws and Google’s Acceptable Use Policies.
Prohibited Conduct: You shall not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Application.
3. Data Processing and Privacy
Your use of the Application is governed by the Availability Smarts Privacy Policy. You acknowledge that the Application requires access to specific Google OAuth scopes (including Calendar and Gmail settings) to function. The Application operates on an ephemeral processing model; it does not store your personal data on external servers beyond short-term Google Cloud Platform (GCP) logs.
4. Intellectual Property
All rights, titles, and interests in the Application, including its source code, logic, and branding, remain the exclusive property of the Application developers. No ownership rights are transferred to you through the use of this service.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Application is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developers disclaim all warranties, including:
Merchantability: Fitness for a particular purpose.
Reliability: That the Application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with all third-party software.
Accuracy: That the calculations will be infallible.
6. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall the developers of Availability Smarts be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages—including but not limited to loss of data, missed appointments, or business interruption—arising from the use or inability to use the Application.
7. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Application at our sole discretion, without notice, for any violation of these Terms or for the maintenance of the service. You may terminate this agreement at any time by uninstalling the Application and revoking its OAuth permissions via your Google Account settings.
8. Amendments
These Terms may be updated periodically to reflect changes in functionality or regulatory requirements. Continued use of the Application following such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
